paradoXcity is a design-research platform exploring the contemporary urban condition between stasis and change, in order to move forward towards a state of stability.
The transformation of urban landscapes in the ongoing process of modernization is subject of comparative research. A more recent concept of design seeks to identify paradox conditions in order to navigate their implications. This holistic design approach consciously addresses the next iteration in the ongoing project of modernity.

I really appreciate this concept that describes condition in our contemporary cities. I am a PhD canidate and I am dealing with a case study on the Elbe river dynamics in the city of Dresden. This research approach stimulates in me a lot of systematic ideaa on how the River interacts with the city.
